We get off the red streetcar at a gateway passage taken from the Socialist Realist buildings of Constitution Square. Above it is a row of Warsaw buildings bathed in the lights of a winter evening. Here we find the Old Town Barbican, the characteristic tenements of Lublin Union Square or Jerozolimskie Avenue, the soaring towers of churches, as well as illuminated skyscrapers. The colors of the sky create a winter atmosphere of the moment just after sunset. Titus Brzozowski
