On the back of the frame a piece of paper with an inscription in German: Wilhelm Richter. Charlottenburg Fasanenstr. 11 "Im Luch (Abendstimmung)"; also an Agra-Art auction sticker from 1999.
Wilhelm Richter-Rheinsberg - German painter and printmaker. In addition to painting, he also engaged in pedagogy - he was a teacher of crafts in Berlin. In 1888-1895 he made numerous trips to the East: to Russia and Poland. He painted pictures for churches in Potsdam and Berlin. The featured painting is probably a landscape from Polesia.
