Ref: J. Naliwajko 64
Studied at an art college in Vilnius. In the 1960s he stayed in Warsaw, associating at that time with a group of young artists organizing independent art exhibitions in 1963-1967 in the Barbican and other places in the Old Town. This group, along with Jan Naliwajko, was co-founded by, among others, Kazimierz Romuald Dabrowski - Naldek, Jerzy Lassota, Barbara Szajewska, Zbigniew Kupczynski, Wladyslaw Popielarczyk, Marek Kotlinski - Rao (their little-known activities were devoted to a memoir by one of the participants, Jacek Mieliwodzki - see "Warsaw Barbican 1963-1967. Outdoor Exhibitions," http://home.swipnet.se/~w-32568/barbakan/barb.htm). Naliwajko lived and worked in Sweden since the 1960s. He worked in painting, printmaking and sculpture, and in his figurative art he combined fantastic, symbolic and erotic themes, giving his compositions an unsettling mood. His works are also characterized by rich colors and dynamism. He has exhibited in France, Switzerland and the USA, among other countries.
