Frans de Beul (Dendermonde 1849 - Schaarbeek 1919) - Belgian painter, brother of painter Henri de Beul (1845-1900). The artist studied under Ferdinand Willaert at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dendermonde and at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. He painted under the influence of the Barbizon school and specialized in genre scenes. He exhibited his works in Brussels, Berlin, London, Paris, as well as in New York and San Francisco.
